Initial Comments:

This report is the result of an occupancy survey conducted on December 8, 2023, with documentation review concluding on February 23, 2024, at Pittsburgh North Surgical Center, which included the addition of Anesthesiology (interventional pain procedures), podiatry surgical services, laminectomy surgical services, and offsite sterilization services, and changing licensure designation from a Class B to a Class C facility. Additionally, new equipment was surveyed to include an anesthesia system, a sequential DVT pump machine, Stryker consolidated operating room equipment (CORE), and a Bair Hugger warming unit. Based on the occupancy survey, it was determined the facility was in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Rules and Regulations for Ambulatory Care Facilities, Annex A, Title 28, Part IV, Subparts A and F, Chapters 551-573, November 1999 and the current edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Outpatient Facilities.
